Just an hour by car north of Prague lies the beautiful hiking region known as Cesky Raj (or 'Czech Paradise' in English). The area features a number of historical castles, pretty little towns, fragrant meadows, unusual rock formations and a vast network of hiking trails taking you through some of the most attractive countryside in the whole country. On this tour you will get to experience this beautiful area, the oldest protected landscape in the Czech Republic and little known to tourists from outside the country. The highlights of the tour include visits to the 14th castles at Kost and Trosky and a one hour hike around the stunning Prachovske rocks nature reserve. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel reception and after a one hour drive you will reach the Prachovske rocks nature reserve. Here you will take a one hour hike through the rock formations. We will then take lunch at and visit the castle at Kost. We will finish the tour by visiting the most dominant sight of the whole area – the massive castle ruins of Trosky. Once you have climbed to the top of one of the ruined towers you will get the best views of the Northern Czech countryside. Please note that this tour is not for the faint-hearted as there is quite a lot of climbing involved although you will be fine as long as you are fit and healthy.
